CEREC Same Day Restorations
We can make and replace a chipped, cracked, or damaged tooth with a CEREC same-day crown in just one visit. In the past, the process for creating a custom crown could take one week or longer and require multiple office visits. With CEREC, Keen Smiles utilizes 3D computer software to capture images of your mouth. These images along with a state-of-the-art milling unit allow us to create your customized restoration right in our office.
Intraoral Photography
Intraoral cameras are small, pen-shaped devices that our team uses to get a closer look at your oral health. This small camera captures digital images of your teeth and gums, giving the doctor a better view of angles that are hard to see with the naked eye. Being able to instantly see the images from the intraoral camera on a screen in the treatment room allows us to discuss and help you understand why we recommend certain treatment. We can almost instantly detect tooth decay and cavities, spots of gingivitis, other types of gum disease, healthy areas of the mouth, and other abnormalities.
The intraoral camera images can also be shared with other dentists, healthcare professionals, and insurance agencies, if needed.
